Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You

Sasaki is an exhausted, middle-aged wage slave whose only small joys are his favorite cigarettes and the cheerful, welcoming smile of Yamada, a female clerk at his go-to supermarket. One exhausting night, seeking a moment of peace, Sasaki heads to the store—only to find that Yamada isn't on shift. To make matters worse, there’s nowhere nearby to smoke. Just as he’s about to sink into despair, a woman named Tayama calls out to him: "You can smoke here."
